SPORTS ENGINEERING AT KNRTU-KAI

Abstract

The rationale for the creation and first steps of development of an innovative scientific and educational platform for Sports Engineering at KNRTU-KAI is given on the basis of the R&D of Medical-Biological and Sports Engineering (R&D MBSE) and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports with the support of the Department of Radiophotonics and Microwave Technologies, R&D of Applied electrodynamics, photonics and living systems (R&D AEPLS). A scientific and educational platform is being created to conduct fundamental theoretical and applied experimental research, as well as train specialists in various fields of science with an emphasis on the application of their results and competencies in high-achievement sports, as well as to solve the problems of preventing diseases of athletes and their rehabilitation. Educational objectives are planned to be implemented at the new Department of “Sports Engineering”, first as part of a master’s degree, and then through a full cycle of education levels from bachelor to postgraduate students.
