Dear colleagues!

The special issue of the online publication "Electronics, Photonics and Cyberphysical Systems" contains the materials of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Approaches and Practical Initiatives in Engineering Sciences", which is being held All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Engineering Academy" (RIA), Tatarstan Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Engineering Academy" (RIA), Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan), Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan (CCI RT)   October 2-3, 2025. The event is also taking place within the framework of the Global Forum on Metalworking and Additive Technologies "TEMP".  
The purpose of the conference:
Discussion of the problems of engineering sciences in a changing world;  consideration of the world and domestic experience of using innovative technologies in the development of industry 4.0; application of modern professional development approaches that will help keep abreast of the latest trends in engineering sciences; demonstration of scientific and practical initiatives of the Tatarstan regional branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Russian Academy of Engineering" (RIA); popularization of engineering sciences.
The main directions of the conference:
materials science; polymer composite materials; electrophysical methods of influencing materials; electronics, photonics; transport and use of natural gas; mechanics of structures; processing of wood and plant biomass; promising energy technologies.
