CONCEPT OF A NEW TYPE OF MICROWAVE PHOTONIC OPTICAL VECTOR ANALYZERS
Abstract
The paper presents an overview of the existing techniques for constructing interferometric and microwave photonic optical vector analyzers (OVA); the factors limiting their metrological characteristics are revealed. On the basis of the existing groundwork of the scientific team, a new concept of microwave photonic OVA (MW OVA) based on tunable multifrequency (with ultra-small spacing) probe radiation called «N-dimensional compressed probe radiation» was proposed. In this paper, a concept for constructing such MW OVA will be proposed, and a generalized mathematical model of the interaction of such radiation with a resonant circuit will be described.
