PRIORITY-2030: NEW DIRECTIONS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AT THE DEPARTMENT OF RADIOPHOTONICS AND MICROWAVE TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
The paper presents new areas of research at the Department of Radiophotonics and Microwave Technologies, which formed the basis for its participation in the development program of KNRTU-KAI "Priority-2030" under two strategic projects: "Integrated digital, microwave and optical quantum technologies of a new generation" and "Technologies for regional monitoring and environmental safety management for sustainable development of territories". A target characteristic of both strategic projects implementation is given and tasks are set for the design of radio-photonic systems in the field of quantum communications and sensorics of greenhouse gases, implementing breakthrough interconnected information technologies and technologies for reducing the carbon footprint in the atmosphere. New technologies require the development of new competencies by students and employees of the department, aimed at the design and production of integrated microwave and photonic circuits, the variants of which are discussed for each of the proposed systems and without which it is simply inappropriate to talk about their novelty and breakthrough nature.
