Abstract

The paper proposes a method for determining the bearing to a radio emission source using a two-element antenna array. A feature of the scheme is the use of two channels, each of which includes a two-port Mach-Zehnder modulator, an optical band-pass filter, and a photodetector. The ratio of the amplitudes of the signals at the outputs of the channels is proportional to the phase difference of the signals received by the elements of the array and does not depend on the amplitude of the input signal.
