Women scientists are leading pioneering research around the world. But despite their remarkable discoveries, women still make up only 33.3% of researchers worldwide, and their work rarely gets the recognition it deserves. Less than 4% of Nobel Prizes in science have ever been awarded to women, and only 11% of senior scientific positions in Europe are held by women. As the world rapidly approaches a future threatened by climate change and resource scarcity, the global scientific community must waste no time in recognizing and promoting the achievements of women scientists. This issue of the journal is dedicated to the scientific results of young female scientists working in KNRTU-KAI.
