DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY OF POLYLACTIDE POLYMER FILMS WITH PYROGENIC SILICON DIOXIDE OF DIFFERENT PERCENTAGE CONTENT

Abstract

In this work, the effect of 2% and 4% SiO2 on the thermal characteristics of PLA using the DSC method was studied. It was found that the glass transition temperature of PLA and its composites was practically independent of the SiO2 concentration and is (65 ± 1) °C. The addition of SiO2 had little effect on the entropy change during the relaxation transition from the glassy to the highly elastic state, indicating its effect on the PLA polymer structure ordering.
